The Awesome Blogger Award

(Credit: Maggie @ Dreaming of Guatemala)

Hey readers!👋

The amazing TJ @ Books and Other Pursuits has nominated me for the Awesome Blogger Award. Thanks so much TJ, I really appreciate it!💜 Her blog is gorgeous, so all of you must go check it out before continuing on with reading this post!

Let’s not forget to thank Maggie @ Dreaming of Guatemala for creating this award! This is her reason:

“This is an award for the absolutely wonderful writers all across the blogging world. They have beautiful blogs, are kind and lovely, and always find a way to add happiness and laughter to the lives of their readers. That is what truly defines an awesome blogger”

So let us start!

The Rules:

1.Thank the person who nominated you.
2. Include the reason behind the award.
3. Include the banner in your post.
4. Tag it under #awesomebloggeraward in the Reader.
5. Answer the questions your nominator gave you.
6. Nominate at least 5 awesome bloggers.
7. Give your nominees 10 new questions to answer.
8. Let your nominees know that they’ve been nominated.

The Questions:

Name one thing that you are most proud of?

This may sound cliché, but I am very proud of my friends and family. They have all done remarkable things for me (and in general) and I adore them all so much. So, if you are a friend or a family member of mine who is reading this right now, then hi! I love you all tons!💞

Why did you decide to start a blog?

I was thinking about creating a blog about something for a while before I created my own, but I didn’t know what to make one about. Then, I started reading a lot again and so my aunt introduced me to Goodreads. By reading others’ reviews and seeing the reviewers’ pages, I often saw that there was a blog attached to them. After visiting a few of them, I decided to start my own to share my love of reading with the world and so teen readers, whether reluctant or avid, are able to find books that fit their interests and needs. It’s been quite a success so far!👍

What’s your favourite TV show and movie?

Favourite TV show:

Favourite movie:

(Haven’t watched this one recently, though)

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Physical books or eBooks?

(Just a confession: I STILL have not read TFIOS!😂)

Favourite social media platform?

Right now, Snapchat!👻

If you couldn’t blog about books, what subject would you choose instead?

Oh gosh, I don’t even know. Probably just a lifestyle blog of some sort, but I am a pretty private person for the most part, so I don’t know what I’d write about.😬

Microsoft or Apple?

What’s your favourite holiday destination?

Screen Shot 2016-12-19 at 8.27.25 PM.png

What’s your favourite breakfast food?

I nominate…

1.Rhea @ Bookchanted

2.Savannah @ The Book Prophet

3.Fangirling Young Adult Reader

4.Aditi @ A Thousand Words a Million Books

5.Londera @ Young Adult Book Review

Please don’t feel pressured into doing this award- although I would absolutely love to see your answers to my questions, you have no obligations and I understand if you don’t feel like participating.👍

My questions:

1.Where was the last place you travelled, and when was it?

2.How many physical books do you own?

3.Under what circumstances would you DNF a book?

4.What was the last movie you saw in theatres? Did you enjoy it?

5.Share your favourite meme or GIF!😂

6.Tell me a teaser sentence from the book you’re currently reading!

7.What device do you use to write your blog posts (computer, phone, etc.)?

8.Tell me a little known fact about you that no other bloggers know.

9.If you could travel anywhere in the world right this instant, where would you go, and why?

10.What song is stuck in your head right now? (if any)

So tell me, what would your answers be for TJ’s or my questions? Do you agree (or disagree) with anything I said? Let me know in the comments below.

Au revoir!💜

OMG This Song Book Tag🎵

Hey everyone!💘

Ann @ Ann’s Reading Corner has once again tagged me in something- and this time it’s the “OMG This Song” book tag. Thanks so much, Ann! I am personally in love with her blog, so please do take some time to check it out!

So let’s get on with it!💞

The Book: I don’t normally reread books, but a book that I have happily reread is Wonder by R.J. Palacio.

The Song: Honestly, I get sick of all songs eventually, so I don’t have an answer for this one. Sorry!

The Book: I loved The Babysitters’ Club, I really did, but the person I was when I read them in around grade 5 or 6 was super cringey. Enough said.🙈

The Song: Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke was all over the place around this time, as well. The song as well makes me cringe- I was never a fan of it.🙅

The Book: Recently, I read and loved Internet Famous by Danika Stone, and you can see my review of it by pressing on its cover below.

The Song: My favourite song changes all the time. In fact, I almost never have just one. Right now, though, one of my favoruites is Handclap by Fitz and the Tantrums. It’s so upbeat and fun!

The Book: I feel like Viv from The Replacement Crush is basically me as a book character- she reads and blogs just like me, what else can I say?😉

The Song: I don’t really relate myself to songs- I just listen to them if I enjoy them and not really for the deeper meaning behind them, so I don’t have an answer for this one today, sorry!

The Book: As You Wish by Chelsea Sedoti still hasn’t been released, but I received a Netgalley ARC of it and it was wondrously amazing, not to mention how unique it was. Once it comes out in January 2018, you all must devour it!

The Song: Slide by Calvin Harris is definitely a weird song, but it’s fun to listen to and I like it!

P.S. I misheard, like, half of its lyrics, so I can always get a good laugh from it!

The Book: Maya Van Wagenen’s memoir, Popular, inspired me to look at being popular in a completely different way. I would recommend it to every tween or teen trying to find themselves within the realms of their school’s popularity- you will be wowed!

The Song: I can literally listen to Handclap anytime and feel happy, so I’ll be choosing that one again because I’m a rebel!😎

The Book: I probably won’t be getting to it anytime soon, but I think it would be fun to curl up with the rest of the Harry Potter series on a rainy day. Ugh, it’s so intimidating, though!😩

The Song: Bad Liar by Selena Gomez is a rather relaxing song, as are most of hers. I’m getting a bit sick of it, but I still really like it!

The Book: Hehehe… I still read Junie B. Jones books from time to time as fillers when I am about to fall behind on my reading challenge.😂

The Song: There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back by Shawn Mendes is catchy and fun, but I don’t think that there’s too much depth to it.

I tag…

1.Kristi @ Confessions of a YA Reader

2.Marija @ Inside My Library Mind

3.Des @ Des’ Random Thoughts

I would love to see your picks for these questions, but if you’re not into participating, then I 100% understand and respect that.💜

So tell me, have you read any of these books? Opinions? Do you like any of these songs if you know them? What would your answers be? Let me know in the comments below.

Au revoir!💜

Unique Blogger Award 3.0

Hey everyone!👋

The amazing Jade @ Drink Coffee and Read Books has nominated me for my third Unique Blogger Award. Thank you so much, Jade! As well, she just celebrated her achievement of 200 followers, so absolutely add onto that number!💜

Let’s get on with it, shall we?

The Rules:

-Share the link to the blogger who nominated you.

-Answer the questions they gave you.

-Nominate 8-13 other bloggers and pay it forward.

-Ask them three questions.

Les Questions:

Has any book ever influenced you greatly?

Definitely! John Green’s Looking for Alaska changed my view of life for sure. You can read all about my love for this story in my gushing review by pressing on its cover below!💞

Would you want to be an author or are you content to just be a reader?

If you mean author as in writing fictional books, then I’ll pass. I can’t for the life of me come up with any good ideas for writing stories of my own. If you mean author as in writing authentically, such as on this blog, then definitely! I hope to blog for as long as I can! Otherwise, I am content to just be a reader.😊

Where is your favourite place to read?

I think the following gif does all the talking for this question:

I nominate…

Despite what the rules say about nominating 8-13 people, since I have a lot of outstanding tags to do, I’ll only nominate 5 for today (sorry!):

1.Empire of Starlight

2.Priyasha @ Books and Co.

3.Kyera @ Kyera’s Library

4.Rimpy @ Rimpy’s Reads

5.Dawlyn & Krista @ Little Blind Book Finds

I am really looking forward to seeing your answers to the questions, but as well, I totally understand if you don’t feel up to participating!💘

My Questions:

Since I really liked Jade’s questions, I will be reusing them for you guys:

1.Has any book ever influenced you greatly?

2.Would you want to be an author or are you content to just be a reader?

3.Where is your favourite place to read?

So tell me, do you (dis)agree with any of my answers? How would you answer these questions? Let me know in the comments below.

Au revoir!💜

Disney Princess Book Tag

Hi everyone!👋

Sam @ River-Moose-Reads has tagged me to take part in the new Disney Princess Book Tag. Thanks so much, Sam!💜 I love her blog, so be sure to take some time to check it out!

I like Disney movies, but I wouldn’t say that I’m the biggest fan of them, to tell you the truth. (Please don’t kill me!) My favourite princesses are probably Cinderella and Rapunzel, though.

So let’s get on with the tag!✌️

The Rules

-Mention where you saw the tag/thank whoever tagged you

-Tag the lovely creators (Mandy & Zuky) so they can see their wonderful tag in action!

-Play a game of tag at the end!

Les Questions

Snow White: This book (like the movie) started it all- favourite debut book from an author

I was surprised to find out that Everything, Everything was Nicola Yoon’s debut- it’s just too good to be true!👌

Cinderella: A diamond in the rough-  Just like Cinderella, you either didn’t expect much out of this character in the beginning but they turned out to be a total gem

Eldon from As You Wish by Chelsea Sedoti was at first arrogant and downright rude, but as the book progressed, he developed so much into a guy with a warm heart who always wanted to do the right thing.💙

Aurora: SLEEPING BEAUTY – A book that makes you sleepy or just could not hold your attention

Panic by Lauren Oliver was so boring! I have mixed feelings about all of Lauren Oliver’s books, and this one was my least favourite from them.😐

Ariel: Under the Sea- A book with an ocean/water setting

The Siren by Kiera Cass was an awesome book that I’d recommend to those who are into stories about mermaids and who are also fans of her fabulous series, The SelectionThis one was absolutely a fun, light, and fast read.✌️

Belle: Beauty and the Books- Name a book with the best bookworm/book lover

Guys, Vivian from The Replacement Crush by Lisa Brown Roberts is a book blogger! I think enough can be said.😂

Jasmine: THE THIEF AND THE PRINCESS – Name book with an unlikely love story (either in terms of romance or a book you didn’t expect to love so much)

Divergent probably meets both!😊

Pocahontas: THE REAL LIFE PRINCESS – Name a book that is based on a real life person you want to read/have read

Does it count if she wrote the book herself?🤔

Mulan: THE PRINCESS THAT SAVED HER COUNTRY – Name the fiercest heroine you know

Katniss from THG! Need I say more?!😂💜

Tiana:  THE PRINCESS WITH THE COOLEST AND MOST DIVERSE CREW – Name a diverse book whether it is a diverse set of characters (like tiana’s group of naveen, louis, ray, and more) or just diverse in general

The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli is filled to the brim with diversity!💘

Rapunzel: LET YOUR LONGGGGGG HAIR DOWN – Name the longest book you’ve ever read

590 pages… but that will change once I continue on with the Harry Potter series. Someday…😉

Merida: I DETERMINE MY OWN FATE – A book where there is no love story/interest or isn’t needed

The love felt so forced in Protected by Claire Zorn! Review to come soon.💖

Anna & Elsa-  FROZEN HEARTS – A book in a winter/cold setting

Sucktown, Alaska by Craig Dirkes was far from being the best book ever, but it is all I could think of to answer this prompt.🤷‍♀️

Moana: How Far I’ll Go- A character that goes on a journey

Technically, Q from Paper Towns by John Green goes on two journeys– one for self-growth, and another to find Margo. It was astonishing!😍

I tag…

1.Erin @ A Redhead’s Rambling

2.A @ Fandomly Bookish

3.Laura  @ Reading Sanctuary

As always, if you guys have already completed this tag or are just not up to it, it’s no problem, but I’d still love to see your choices!💙💙

So tell me, have you read any of these books? Opinions? Have you seen any of these Disney princess movies? If so, who is your favourite princess? Do you agree (or disagree) with any of my choices? Let me know in the comments below.

Au revoir!💜

Mystery Blogger Award 7.0

Hi everyone!💞

Welcome to my 7th Mystery Blogger award nomination! (Boy, I’ve been accumulating these.) This is all thanks to the amazing Laura @ thebookcorps, so be sure to give her fabulous blog full of treats a look! Here’s also some credit to Okoto Enigma for being the creator of this awesome award!❤️

So let’s-a-go!☺️

The Rules:

-Put the award logo on your blog

-List the rules

-Thank whoever nominated you and link to their blog

-Mention the creator of the award and link it to their blog

-Tell your readers 3 things about yourself

-Nominate between 10 to 20 bloggers

-Notify your nominees by commenting on their blogs

-Ask your nominees 5 questions

-Share a link to your best/favourite post that you have written

My 3 Facts:

  1. I am currently writing this at my cottage! It is so nice to be up here as I probably haven’t been able to be here since September. It is a nice, relaxing break from suburban life!👌
  2. I never, ever thought I’d say this, but even though in the past, gym was always my least favourite subject, since first semester of the past school year ended, I’ve been missing gym class. Unfortunately, I dropped it for this upcoming year because I wanted to take some other electives instead.😕
  3. I recently got a shiny new rose gold iPhone 6S! The case I have on it is a pink wallet case, in which I am able to store my library card and many other such things.

Laura’s Questions:

If you could time travel to only one period of history, which would it be?

How about this idea: no time traveling at all? If I time-traveled to the past, I might ruin things for the future (or, well, the present). Therefore, it’s definitely safer to stay in current times.

But if I was able to go back just to look at how things were like and not engage with anything or anybody, then I’d probably have to choose the medieval times– so interesting!👌

What is your favourite TV show or movie?

Even though I don’t watch much of either, I really like Full House!

What is your favourite country/city you’ve traveled to? And if you haven’t traveled, what country/city have you always wanted to visit?

I will answer both if that’s okay.☺️

For question #1, I haven’t traveled much yet. The farthest and most exotic place that I’ve been to has been Jamaica, but I absolutely loved it! I would adore going back one day.🌴

Screen Shot 2016-12-19 at 8.27.25 PM.png

This was where I stayed in Jamaica^^

For question #2, this changes all the time. I have so many places on my travel bucket list that it isn’t even funny. Right now, though, I would really dig visiting Bora Bora- it looks gorgeous!💞

What classic novel have you always wanted to read but haven’t/or DNF’ed?

I really want to read Daddy-Long-Legs by Jean Webster. It honestly seems super interesting, but I can’t find it as a physical copy (which I ultimately prefer)!😩

Is there a book that you wish you had come up with instead of the original author?

Oh, this happens ALL THE TIME. I come across an interesting premise and I think, “Oh, why couldn’t I have come up with this idea? How did this idea slip my mind?!”

Anywho, I adore the premise of The Future of Us by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler and low-key wish that I could have been the one to think up that idea for myself. Oh, and also, it’s an awesome book! Please read it!💞😂

My Favourite (Recent) Post:

I think that this one can give you guys the giggles! It’s all about the search terms people have used to find my blog!😂

Mes Questions Pour Vous:

1.Under what circumstances would you DNF a book?

2.Share your favourite meme or GIF!😂

3.Tell me a teaser sentence from the book you’re currently reading!

4.Tell me a little known fact about you that no other bloggers know.

5.What song is stuck in your head right now? (if any)

I Nominate…

  1. Alyssa @ Books Take You Places
  2. Rose @ stuckinfiction
  3. Jas @ JasBooks
  4. Trinity @ My Cup of T 321
  5. Kjell @ Bookrebel1988

It’s not a problem if you guys don’t feel like doing this, but I’d love to see your facts and answers!☺️

So tell me, do you (dis)agree with any of my answers and opinions? How would you answer my or Laura’s questions? Let me know in the comments below.

I also participated in this tag last year, and you can view that post here.

So let’s start freaking out!😱

1. Best books you’ve read so far in 2017?

Here are some favourites so far!💟

2. Best sequel of 2017 so far?

Girl Online Going Solo was the PERFECT ending to the Girl Online series.👌

3. New release you haven’t read yet, but want to

I STILL haven’t gotten my hands on The Hate U Give and it’s been killing me! I want to read it so badly, so somebody please place it in my grabby hands!😩

4. Most anticipated release for the second half of 2017?

I can’t wait to see what goodness Kasie West has to offer in this new book. It looks like so much fun!🎉🎉

5. Biggest disappointment?

I was expecting Literally to literally be awesome since Dreamology was, but even though I did like it, it still wasn’t as good as I thought it would be.😟

6. Biggest surprise?

When I received the publicist’s request to read this book, it wasn’t really up my alley, but I decided to accept it anyway. It turned out to be very interesting!☺️

7. Favourite new author? (Debut or new to you)

I only started reading Kody Keplinger’s books this year, but I have really been enjoying them! Reviews:

Lying Out Loud

8. Newest fictional crush?

Dev from Bookishly Ever After is the only one I can think of at the moment.😛💜

9. Newest favourite character?

Hmm. I can’t really think of anyone that sticks out, which is saying something…😕

10. Book that made you cry?

Nothing has actually made me cry thus far, but one book that moved me so much was A List of Cages by Robin Roe. (Y’ALL SHOULD READ IT, IT’S AMAZING!!💗)

11. Book that made you happy?

To steal Shouni’s answer (sorry!🙊), When Dimple Met Rishi also made me smile from ear to ear with its pure awesomeness!😃

12. Favourite book to movie adaptation you’ve seen this year?

I’ll have to pass on this- I haven’t watched any so far!😂

13. Favourite review you’ve written this year?

Honestly, I am proud of all of the reviews that I’ve been writing this year. They have all become much more coherent and unique than they were when I first started blogging. So, I’ll have to give this title to all of them!💘

14. Most beautiful book you’ve bought or received this year?

I just bought Love & Gelato (YES, I FINALLY DID!), and its cover is so adorable that I want to pet it all day long!😍

Keep It Fresh Award

(Credit goes to Jax)

Hi everyone!☺️

The fabulous Jax @ Life of a Simple Reader has tagged me in the Keep it Fresh Award. Thank you so much for thinking of me, Jax! Her blog is the best, so be sure to check it out!💜

So let’s get started!

The Rules:

1. Post the rules before starting and link back to this post as a reference for other bloggers.

2. Part AAnswer each of the fruit questions (each fruit corresponds to a book!) & add pictures plus why you thought that particular book deserves that particular fruit if possible.

3. Part BChoose your favorite fruit (even if it is one of the fruits in part A). Come up with a question that we didn’t ask and answer it.

4. Part CCreate your own smoothie from the fruits in Part A (imagine a Lemon-Tomato-Apple smoothie ~ yuck), and find a book that would correlate to your smoothie!

5. Nominate as many and anyone that you think are deserving of this award but it would be nice if you nominated a minimum of 5!

6. Notify your nominees of the nomination.

7. The most important rules? Have fun and of course, keep it fresh!

Part A:

1. Strawberries – Name the sweetest book you’ve read. (e.g. sweet in terms of the characters or if the story takes place in a sweet world… etc.)

Eleanor & Park was pretty sweet! It gave me all the feels. Literally ALL OF THEM.💞

2. Coconut – What is a book that you would bring on vacation with you to a tropical destination? (Or if you’re just relaxing at the beach…)

Since I haven’t read Love & Gelato yet (WHY?! OMG), I would definitely go out and buy it just to take it with me on vacation. It looks adorable!☺️

3. Pineapple – What is a book that you didn’t think you would like by judging its cover/summary/the first few pages but started to grow on you?

For years, I NEVER thought I would enjoy THG. But last year, I was curious about it, so I couldn’t resist picking it up. To say the least, I was astonished.👌

4. Orange – What’s the juiciest book you’ve read? (e.g. A book with tons of action, romance… etc.)

The mystery in The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett was super juicy, and I would definitely recommend it to lovers of mysterious, thrilling books.💞

5. Watermelon – A watery book (e.g. There wasn’t tons of substance to the book/the details were just too watery…etc. Don’t get us wrong though, we love watermelons!)

I liked this book, but everything was so bland!😟

6. Dragonfruit – What’s the most unique book you’ve read? (e.g. Unique in writing style, characters, plot… etc.)

5 to 1 had two separate POVs- one in paragraphs, and one in verse. The concept was super unique too- press on its cover to read my review and find out all about it!☺️

7. Lemons – Name a book that made you feel sour. (e.g. The emotions were just sour, you just felt sour reading the book, or the book includes sour characters… etc.)

Everything about The Haters, including its title, left me feeling sour and disgusted.🙅

8. Tomato – What is a wonderful book that you think should be more widely known? Or a fantastic author whom you think deserves more recognition? (Since some may not know that tomatoes are actually fruits!)

I’d say that Stones on a Grave, along with all of the other books in the Secrets series, are too underrated and deserve much more love! The series follows the perspectives of 7 different teen girls whose orphanage burns down, so they are all forced to find lives elsewhere, as well as where they’d come from and who their ancestors were. Not to mention that it’s historical fiction, so good news for the YA historical fiction lover!😌

9. Apple – Name a really stereotypical book of a certain genre just like apples which are typical fruits. In the end was that book good or not? (e.g. A very typical contemporary/fantasy book… etc.)

Paintbrush by Hannah Bucchin was the last cliché book I read. It was so predictable with a storyline that is so overused that I could barely even enjoy it. It is still a good book for readers just starting out in contemporary, though.

10. Blueberries – Name a book that made you feel blue. (Any sad, depressing books that you’ve read?)

Though this book made me feel a whirlwind of emotions, I was in shambles of tears by the end of it. No book has EVER made me cry as much as this one did!😭😭

11. Grapefruit – Any bitter books? (e.g. a book that was blue but MORE… do you have any bitter resentments towards characters from a book? Any sour turned bitter emotions? Any uber-hateful villains?)

I can’t think of a specific book for this one, but I hate any character that is stuck-up and doesn’t learn from their mistakes by the end of the book. Just my personal two-cents.🙈

12. Limes – Name a funny book that you’ve read because limes add flavour and so does humour with every book.

Although this was technically a book about death, Jesse Andrews made it sooo funny! It was too bad that I disliked his sophomore novel.😟

Part B: Create your own!

Starfruit: Name a book that is your star (or one that simply features characters going to the stars).⭐️

This isn’t such a creative one, but if you wish upon a star, the book that will come to my mind is As You Wish by Chelsea Sedoti. It was a fantastic read that I only finished a couple days ago, but one that I know I will remember for a long time. Review to come!💜💫

And I just realized that this was supposed to be my favourite fruit. I haven’t even tried starfruit. Oops!🙊

Part C: Smoothie!

Dragonfruit+tomatoes+lime (EW!!)

It’s been a long while since I finished The Truth Commission, but I remember it being unique, underrated, and funny, all at the same time!😄 (Not that being underrated is good…)

I nominate…

1. Kate @ Midnight Book Girl

2. Mikaela @ The Well-Thumbed Reader

3. Daniela @ My Name is Daniela

4. Ashley & Sabrina @ 5171 Miles Book Blog

5. Dessie @ Samodiva Reads

Feel free to skip out on this if you’re not up to participating, but I would love to see your answers! It was a lot of fun to write and I hope you guys have fun with it, too.💞

So tell me, have you read any of these books? Opinions? What would be your choices? Let me know in the comments below.

Au revoir!💜

Full House Book Tag

Hi everyone!😄

I wasn’t tagged for this, but since I have been starting to really enjoy watching the TV show Full House on Netflix, I decided to take a google search and see if there was a book tag for Full House, and low and behold, there was! It was created by Rose @ stuckinfiction, whose blog I just found and it’s amazing! Be sure to check her out!💞

So let’s get started, shall we? You got it, dude!😉

1. Danny Tanner: A book that needs to be cleaned up because there are loose ends and plot holes.

Danny is the father of the three young daughters in the show, and to simply put it, he’s a neat freak. He prefers everything to be spotless and all tidied up.

The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich was interesting at times, but it still had quite a few plot holes and loose ends to be cleaned up.

2. Joey Gladstone: A book that made you laugh.

^That basically sums up Joey and his happy-go-lucky, funny personality, by the way!😂

Even though Me and Earl and the Dying Girl is a book about death, Jesse Andrews makes it very funny and light for readers without sugarcoating the reality of the events going on. It’s definitely a must read!

3. Jesse Katsopolis: A book that has a great cover.

Jesse is Danny Tanner’s brother-in-law and the girls’ uncle, who goes on to marry a news anchor named Rebecca Donaldson, who will be shown later in this post. Together they have twin baby boys. He is super cool, likes Elvis Presley, and rides on a motorcycle.

Since Jesse is, ahem, very good-looking, the book I chose that can also be described that way is The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon. It’s also beautiful on the inside!👌👌

4. D.J. Tanner: A book or character that has taught you a lot.

D.J. Tanner is wise, helpful, and she is the eldest sister out of all the three Tanner girls. Though at times she wants nothing to do with her sisters, she always has her watchful eye out for them and is always willing to give them advice if and when they need it.

Looking for Alaska is a book that honestly changed my life and many of the things I believe. It has so many amazing pieces of advice embedded into it, and it is one of the best books I’ve ever gotten my hands on.💞

5. Stephanie Tanner: A book you can’t stop talking about.

Stephanie is the talkative, sassy middle child of the Tanner family. She looks up to DJ especially to be a role model for her future.

Ever since I read the awesome Anna and the French Kiss in February 2016, I haven’t been able to stop talking about it!😂

6. Michelle Tanner: A book or character that you quote a lot.

I do not have a pick for this question, but Michelle is personally my favourite Full House character, as she is the adorable, witty youngest child of the Tanner family. She has many different catchphrases, such as the one in the GIF.💞

7. Rebecca Donaldson: A book or character that you relate to the most.

Rebecca Donaldson is a news reporter on Wake Up, San Francisco, that is, until she marries Jesse Katsopolis and has her twin boys.

I felt like I could relate to Penny from Girl Online a ton!💞

8. Steve Hale: A book you ate up (couldn’t put down).

In later seasons, Steve Hale is DJ’s boyfriend, who is a couple years older than her. As you can probably tell, he is a big foodie!🍎

I basically ate up Dreamology by Lucy Keating. It was too good- I couldn’t put it down!

9. Alex and Nicky Katsopolis: A book that needs a sequel.

Alex and Nicky Katsopolis are Jesse and Becky’s twin sons. They are so adorable!💙

I definitely think that Carry On by Rainbow Rowell deserves a sequel- I want more!

10. Kimmy Gibbler: A book or character you’ve grown to love.

Kimmy is DJ’s rebellious, carefree best friend. I am not the biggest fan of her character, but that’s just me.

I totally grew to love The Goblin King in Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones!😄

So tell me, have you seen Full House? Do you like it? Who is your favourite character? Have you read any of these books? Opinions? Let me know in the comments brlow.

Au revoir!💜

Book Personality Challenge

Hi everyone!☺️

I have no outstanding tags to do this week, so when I saw the Book Personality Challenge on Larkin @ Wonderfilled Reads‘ blog, it looked quite fun, so I decided to take it on anyway. Be sure to check out her awesome blog!💞

For this challenge, you must find out your MBTI personality type out of the sixteen and and tell your readers how you would be like as a book character.

I took the test a while ago at this link, and I was told that I was an ISTJ (Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging). Another more literal name for the ISTJ is the Logistician, and here is a brief description of the personality type:

The ISTJ personality type is thought to be the most abundant, making up around 13% of the population. Their defining characteristics of integrity, practical logic and tireless dedication to duty make ISTJs a vital core to many families, as well as organizations that uphold traditions, rules and standards, such as law offices, regulatory bodies and military. People with the ISTJ personality type enjoy taking responsibility for their actions, and take pride in the work they do – when working towards a goal, ISTJs hold back none of their time and energy completing each relevant task with accuracy and patience.

Yep, sounds a lot like me!💁

So let’s get on with the tag!😉

What is your personality like?

I like to describe myself as a hard worker who is studious, dedicated, and responsible. I get good marks and if I am interested in a subject, I can completely immerse myself into it (ahem, books and French!😂). I tend to think more concretely than critically, which means that when making decisions, I rely more on facts than on intuition, but my way of thinking still allows me as well as all other ISTJs to be successful. I am a bit shy, but once I have bonded with someone and become able to trust them, I can open up to them and be a *tiny bit* silly. It does take a bit of time for me to develop trust in someone, but overall, I am pretty easy-going (for the most part) and I try to be a friend to all.💘

If you were a character in a book, what would be some of your strengths and flaws?

  • Puts effort into work and gets good outcomes out of it
  • Is honest and really dislikes dishonesty
  • Is calm, patient and can handle sticky situations
  • Can be trusted to get the job done
  • Can sometimes be stubborn
  • Not very eager to take risks
  • Can sometimes be a bit too honest
*Note that not all of these apply to me, just to the ISTJ in general*

Do any authors share your personality type?

I haven’t read books from either of these authors, but I found Sigmund Freud, Thomas Hobbes, along with some others that I’ve never heard of. If you know of any young adult authors that are ISTJs, then please let me know!

What fictional characters share your personality type?

I’m happy to see that Hermione shares my ISTJ traits, but I have not checked out any of these other fictional works.🙈

If you were a character in a book, what job would you have?

Some of the careers that are best and the most popular with ISTJs include lawyers, judges, police officers, military workers, and detectives.

Hmm. I’ll choose to be a lawyer.🙈

What personality type would complete your OTP?

It says on 16 Personalities that the best partner for an ISTJ would be any type of personality that includes the letters E (extroverted), S (observant), and P (prospective). This means that the ESTP (the entrepreneur) or the ESFP (the entertainer) would be my best bet.

Who are some fictional characters that would complete your OTP?

Some entrepreneurs:

Some entertainers:

I choose Jack Dawson!💗

So tell me, what is your personality type? Have you done this tag (if so, please link me to it in the comments- I’d love to see your answers!)? Do you agree with any of my answers?

Let me know in the comments below.

Unique Błogger Award 2.0

Hey everyone!☺️

The awesome Laura @ thebookcorps has nominated me for my second Unique Blogger Award. Thank you so much for thinking of me, Laura! If you haven’t already, then be sure to take a peek at her fascinating blog!💜

Without further ado, let’s get onto it!😉

The Rules:

  • Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you.
  • Answer the questions.
  • In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award.
  • Ask them three questions.

Les Questions:

1. I know we’re all mainly YA readers on here, so what is your favourite adult fiction novel?

I don’t really read adult fiction. As you may know, I am a teenager in high school, so adult fiction usually goes right over my head. So, I unfortunately cannot answer this question right now. Sorry!😧

2. Enough with the heroes, they’re boring. Who is your favourite book villain?

My favourite book villain is probably Queen Levana from The Lunar Chronicles. Her backstory is so interesting- I absolutely loved reading from her point-of-view in Fairest.

3. Will you ever lend a book to a friend? Why/Why not? Any horror stories?

Would I ever lend a friend a book? Well, sometimes. If they really want to read one of my books, then I will likely happily lend it to them, but I find that the books I lend out either a) come back damaged, or b) never come back at all. It’s annoying- I just want my books to be returned the way they were given!😠

As for the horror stories, I personally dislike them, and my friends aren’t the biggest fans of them, either.🙅

I nominate…

  1. Jackie @ Too Much of a Book Nerd
  2. Tiffany @ Tiff the Book Nerd
  3. Hayley @ Rather Too Fond of Books

I would love to see your answers to my questions below, but I totally understand if you don’t feel like participating- you guys ultimately have no obligations to.☺️

Mes questions pour vous:

  1. Share your favourite meme or GIF!😂
  2. What song is stuck in your head right now? (if any)
  3. Share a teaser sentence from the book you’re currently reading!

So tell me, do you (dis)agree with any of my answers? What would be your answers to my or Laura’s questions? Let me know in the comments below.

Au revoir!💜
