Review Policy

*I am not currently accepting books for review other than ARCs I request; my backlog of reviews I need to write is just too big right now! I’m so sorry for any inconvenience!*

Hi, authors and publishers (and everyone else who’s reading this)! Welcome to my blog, and thank you so much for considering me to review your book!☺️ I would be very happy to simply review it, interview authors, and host blog tours, but I do not host giveaways at this time. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!

All books sent to me will be in exchange for a 100% honest review. Even if a book is sent to me, I have a right to not enjoy it, thus not review it. Do rest assured that if this happens, I will still try my best to review your book, but if I am unable to, you will be the first to know! Also, if I do end up reviewing a book I don’t like, I will be sure to recommend it to the types of readers who I think would enjoy it more. Not all books are right for everyone, and I want to make sure others are still able to find their fit!

I also have a right to decline a request if I don’t think the book would be a good fit for me. I don’t have the time to read books I don’t think I’ll enjoy, but if this ends up happening, I will still try to spread the word around and see if others are interested in reading it instead. My reader base has very diverse tastes in genres- there is always somebody!

My reviews NEVER, EVER include even the slightest bit of a spoiler. I don’t like getting spoiled for books, and I understand that many other people have the same wishes. As much as I sometimes want to spoil and rant about some books, I know that it would be unfair to other readers that have not yet read the book.

In my reviews, I like to touch on what attracted me to the book in the first place, my initial reactions, a short synopsis, the characters, the plot, and whom it would most appeal to. Do let me know if there is other information you’d like me to include, and I will try my best to incorporate it☺️.

I will only be accepting print books or eBooks in PDF or .epub form. I download e-ARCS onto my iBooks app on my iPad Mini, or Adobe Digital Editions. I will not be accepting audiobooks, so sorry for any inconvenience that may cause!

Here are the guidelines of the types of books I accept (and the types I don’t):

What I Accept☺️

  • Adult, YA, and middle grade books
  • Contemporary/realistic fiction
  • Romance
  • Historical fiction
  • Dystopian
  • Science fiction
  • Mystery
  • Graphic novels
  • LGBTQ+
  • Indie/self-published
  • Select fantasy/paranormal (I’m very, very picky with this genre!)
  • Select poetry (books in verse that are in my preferred genres, i.e. not poem books)
  • Select non-fiction (depending on the topic)

What I Don’t Accept😧

  • Erotica
  • Religious/Spiritual
  • Memoir

Also, your book NEEDS to be on Goodreads so I can cross-post the review there, and so I can keep track of my reading. You will also need to send me the synopsis of your book so I know whether or not it would interest me. (If your book’s genre is one where I say ‘select,’ please do still contact me and we can negotiate.)

If you have a specific date that you would like me to review the book by, please let me know, and I will do my absolute best to have the review posted on or slightly before that date. If I am not provided with a date, then I will likely schedule the review to go up two weeks to a month before its release date, or ASAP if the book has already been released. *I am a student, so ARCs will be my second priority, with first priority books I need to read for school and third priority books I want to read for pleasure.

If my criteria above matches your book, then feel free to contact me (my email for my blog is kdrewkthebookworm@gmail.com), and I will get back to you ASAP! Thanks again!😊
