My Dream Reading Space💘

Hi everyone!👋

Recently, Arhaus.com reached out to me and asked me to participate in a reading nook project, in which I was asked to compile some of the furniture pieces and other miscellaneous items that I would include in my dream nook. Thus, I am super excited to share this post about my dream reading space with you! Thank you so much for including me, Arhaus team!💜

Anyway, without further ado, here are the components of my dream reading nook. Enjoy!😘

So, what would my dream reading space look like?

First, I would love to have a sectional sofa like the one below in my reading nook. I usually enjoy reading in bed, but sometimes I also enjoy it sitting on a nice, cosy couch or armchair. That way, with a sectional sofa, I could lie down and read as well as sit up and read whenever my heart desires!💕

I’d also put some of my most loved stuffed animals on the sofa to brighten up the room. I know, I know, I’m a child at heart!💘

Secondly, one thing I would LOVE to have is a nice bookshelf with fairy lights attached to it. I have seen this all over Pinterest, Instagram, and on others’ blogs, and it is seriously a gorgeous sight to see. My hope is that it would look something like this:

As for the colour of the wall, I would make it a light, happy colour, such as a good shade of white, turquoise, light pink, or light yellow. Reading makes me happy, and I’d want the colour of the walls to reflect that.

A colour like the one on the walls below would be parfait!👌

Lighting-wise, I wouldn’t dream of anything too fancy. Maybe a small chandelier, potlights, or a pretty lamp would do the trick!

(The potlights and the lamp are both great!)

In addition to my normal bookshelves with fairy lights attached to them, I would also enjoy having some floating bookshelves to showcase my absolute favourite books. Probably one or two of them would be enough, but I’d be willing to get some more if I find anymore favourites.☺️

These types of shelves below would be perfect, as long as the books were being held up by bookends, haha! Preferably my K bookends that my dad got me for Hannukah!☺️

So there we have it, all my must-haves for my dream reading nook! This post was so much fun to put together- a warm thank you once again to the Arhaus team for giving me the opportunity to participate!💘☺️

If you’re looking for inspiration to design your own reading nook, then definitely give the collections on Arhaus.com a look. They have many awesome products, ranging from their living room collections to their lighting collections. I also found many of these pictures on Pinterest– it’s very helpful for finding inspiration as well.

So tell me, what would your dream reading nook look like? Would you enjoy having any of these pieces in it? Let me know in the comments below.

As well, if any of you have posts showcasing your current reading nook or dream reading nook, I would love to see them, so be sure to link them up below!

Au revoir!💜

  1. I want one of those chaise lounges! Every time I’m reading, I always think how comfortable and adorable they would look in a room! You can sit or you can lay, it’s a perfect combination. Defiantly lots of shelves on the walls and the lighting for the bookshelves are so cute!

  2. I already have my dream reading nook! I have a chair that belonged to my grandmother in the corner of the living room that I usually sit in to read! I have this weird thing about corners.
