Top Ten Thursday #39

Hi everyone!😄

To be honest, I am starting to run a little low on ideas for Top Ten Thursday and could use a few suggestions. So, if you have a topic you’d like me to write about, then first please make sure I haven’t already done it here and then feel free to leave me a comment below!

Anyway, today I wanted to list some book covers I just really want to change… but for obvious reasons, I can’t, haha! Hope you enjoy!💞

So let’s get on with it!

Okay, this cover is a joke! (Just like all the covers mentioned in this post, but SHHH!🙊) Covers with people on them are one of my pet peeves, even if they are good-looking like these ones.

I have mentioned how much I disliked this cover before, but I do. With a burning passion, to say the least. Its colour is yucky and I don’t get why someone is seen in the top right corner with just their legs down- can someone please explain that?

This cover does show the love triangle in the book well, but it just isn’t visually appealing at all. All the other covers of this book from other countries are WAY prettier than this one!

Now I get that some people may really like this cover, but honestly, I don’t. Something just seems off about it, you know? Maybe it’s the colours…

Okay. THIS cover. Oh my freaking goodness. WHY? WHY?!?! I can’t even look at it without wanting to cringe. Possibly it is why this book only has 5 ratings on Goodreads…😂 (Oh, and one of them’s me👌.)

I get that this cover is kind of blurry and pixelated because it takes place in 1996 and revolves around the technology of that time, but once again with the people, and once again with the drab colours. Please don’t let this cover fool you from reading this amazing story, though!💞

I don’t know how this cover has anything to do with the story in its pages. But then again, Panic was plotless, so it kind of makes sense.😛

Another strike for people on covers! You’re noticing a trend here, right? If I were to recreate this cover, I would probably put a cartoon of a smartphone in the middle and illustrate it with icons and text messages, but that’s just me. Anyway, I do like the colour choices of this cover, though.👌

The book’s name is Sunrise Underground and THIS is its cover? Um… this is ABOVE ground… and the eyes at the top are just creepy. Also, it shows absolutely no elements of the story, leaving readers confused.

Lastly, I do like the fonts on this cover, but I just don’t think it really appeals, if you get what I’m trying to say.

So tell me, have you read any of these books? Opinions? Do you agree about not liking any of these covers? If so, how would you change them? Any other covers you think need redoing? Let me know in the comments below.

Au revoir!💜
