Hi everyone!😊
Today I am back with another awesome tag, entitled the Bookish Book Lover tag. Thanks so much to Lu @ Girl Who Reads for tagging me!❤️ Be sure to check out her lovely blog for great reviews, tags, discussion posts, and even more.
The Rules:
- Use the banner.
- Answer the questions with lots of book covers!
- Tag your bookish friends.
So let’s get on with it!✌️
Books you are currently reading?
I am currently reading two books for school, one of which is called Paper Valentine by Brenna Yovanoff, as well as Romeo & Juliet by Shakespeare. So far they are both OK, and I’m sure Paper Valentine will get better as I read on. As for Romeo & Juliet, it’s sometimes hard to get used to the Elizabethan language, and we’ve also only just finished reading Act 2, so we haven’t really gotten into the ‘tragic’ part of it yet.
The last book you finished?
As I write this, the last book I finished was a Netgalley ARC called Waiting for Dusk. It was also just okay, and you’ll be seeing a review soon😊.
Your favourite read this year?
AGGHHHHHHH!😤 Excuse me, I’ve read over 200 books this year, and counting! I will be sure to post a top ten favourites list on the last Thursday of December, though (it will be so hard!😫).
The genre you’ve read most this year?
YA contemporary romance, it never gets old…💕
The genre you’ve read least this year?
High fantasy; I think I’ve only read one or two books of this genre.
A genre you’d like to read more of?
Again, high fantasy, I’d like to give it more of a chance… I guess I should make this a New Years’ resolution of mine!👍
How many books have you read this year? And what’s your goal?
Okay, so my goal was 100, but I’ve beaten it by 128 books, as I’ve been able to read 228 so far! It would be awesome if I could reach 250 by the end of 2016, but there’s only so much time left of this year, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to😫.
The last book you bought?
Like, with actual money? That would have to be Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children back in September. I don’t buy too many books, to be honest, I usually either take them out of the library or receive ARCs via Netgalley or Indigo.
Book you’re saving up to buy next?
Nothing at the moment, but the holidays are coming up…😊
How many books did you last check out of the library?
One; it was a hold that came in for Princess in the Spotlight by Meg Cabot.
A book you can’t wait to read?
This came out in September, but I still haven’t been able to get my hands on it. Hopefully soon, though!😍
A series that you recommend to everyone?
I really loved the Shatter Me series for its action and unique writing style, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone reading this right now😄.
An author you hope will write more?
Stephen Chbosky! I adored The Perks of Being A Wallflower, and it saddens me to see that according to Goodreads, his only other works are a screenplay for the movie and a collection of excerpts from new authors… in 2000! I wasn’t even born yet!😱
A few books your heart adored?
All of Morgan Matson and Kiera Cass’s books, Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon, Wonder by R.J. Palacio, Dreamology by Lucy Keating, Looking for Alaska by John Green, Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins, Stones on a Grave by Kathy Kacer, and the list goes on and on!😎
A series conclusion that made you sad?
I’ll have to steal Lu’s answer for this one- Allegiant did make me sad, but I didn’t cry.
Books on your wish list?
Pretty much anything on my TBR☺️
I tag…
If you’ve already done this tag or just don’t feel like it, it’s completely fine with me.😄 I’m looking forward to seeing your answers!❤️
So tell me, what books have you been reading lately? Which author do you hope will write more? Do you (dis)agree with any of my answers? Let me know in the comments below.
Au revoir!💜
Love this post, Wonder by R.J Palacio is one which will forever be close to me, and I’m glad you had the chance to read so many 📚!

This was a scheduled post- I finished it yesterday! I gave it a 3.5 star rating, so I liked it, but didn’t LOVE it.

Oh ok I wasn’t inlove with it the first time but the second time I did you didn’t cry when they both died I always cry and the fault in our stars you would believe I’m not a big fan of romance. 😂😂

LOL!😂😂I’ve never even read The Fault in our Stars- I already know what happens because I was spoiled a ton, and I don’t want to cry too much! I probably will get to it soon, though.

Great tag! I too want to jump into more high fantasy soon enough. There seems to be a billion amazing stories out there that I need to check out real quick. 😛

Thanks so much! Me too! Know any good ones to start out with?

I couldn’t vouch for any of them since I haven’t read them yet, but I’ve seen Magician by Raymond E. Feist around quite often! There’s also those Dungeon & Dragons books that are quite popular. Some of Brandon Sanderson’s books are also quite popular high fantasy novels to check out! So many options, so little time! 😀 Of course, it also depends on how far back in time (publication-wise) you want to go.

Thanks for the recommendations? Are those young adult, though?

Nooop, I don’t think so. For YA I’d probably say Falling Kingdoms, Throne of Glass series and An Ember in the Ashes would be interesting places to look at. 😀

Yeah, I’ve heard of those, but never really looked into them. Maybe I will now, thanks Lashaan!☺️
